Marche Region's Cultural Department





Documento senza titolo Following the election for the refurbishment of local administration, which took place on Spring 2005, Marche Region's Cultural Department changed its management structure and mission. Mr. Raimondo Orsetti, Ms. Paola Mazzotti, Mr Alessandro Agostani and Mr Fabrizio Annini lead the Department which employ 62 collaborators.
Cultural Department carries out many activities in order to promote, valuate and manage the regional cultural heritage. In particular the department has been carrying out the following activities:

  • Supporting the regional librarian system, throughout coordination and monitoring, as well as cataloguing and diffusion of librarian information. The cultural Department acts also for the elaboration of standard guide-lines in collaboration with the National Librarian Service;
  • protecting the regional librarian and documents legacy;
  • Cataloguing the regional historic-cultural heritage and computerizing datas. The department manages the Regional Informative System concerning the cultural heritage;
  • Coordinating the realization of Archaeological Map and Cutural Heritage Risks maps projects in collaboration with other regional institutions and organizations;
  • Providing technical assistance to local organizations, in order to enhance their collaboration and to improve the utilization of local facilities and tools;
  • Taking care the editing and promotion of scientific issues;
  • Collaborating at the definition of technical-managerial standards concerning museums and historical-artistic heritage;
  • Planning actions concerning the promotion and protection of regional cultural heritage;
  • Promoting the development of cultural networks and systems according to Sectorial Regional Plan;
  • Coordinating European projects which are co-financed by FESR and Structural Funds;
  • Managing the regional Observatory related to cultural Heritage;
  • Promoting projects directed toward citizens from Marche Region have been living abroad.
