Prediction of e-learners’ progress and timely assessment of the achievement of learning outcomes in Lifelong Learning

CRITON final dissemination seminar in Vilnius

On Thursday, December 18th 2014, SIH organized the final dissemination seminar of the LLP KA3 project CRITON. The participants of the event were the representatives of various educational institutions in Vilnius.

The aim of the seminar was to present the project, the activities performed and results achieved, to demonstrate functionalities and capabilities of the main output of the project – the CRITON platform, and to discuss the main relevance of the prediction about student learning for the quality assurance in education.

The Agenda for the workshop:

  • CRITON Project presentation: the idea of the project, the activities preformed and the results achieved.
  • CRITON platform: the benefits for teachers and learners.
  • Piloting of the CRITON platform. Results from piloting in Lithuania and other partner countries.
  • Prediction of learning outcomes: what factors to be considered in making predictions about adults‘ learning? Group discussion.
  • Conclusions.

The event was a great success. The participants showed great interest in the project and its outputs; hence the feedback received indicated their commitment to implement the project achievements in educational practice.
