Building bridges to the labour market

With help of consultation, education, creation of jobs and apprenticeships and further training integration into the labour market can be successful. In this way, new perspectives of life can be created or reopend.

This is the most important aim of “Arbeit und Bildung e. V.” as a charitable organization of the private welfare work. As a majority shareholder of different job creation companies and as a responsible body of own re-employment projects for unemployed people, we carry out services and work, which are useful for society and nobody else wants to do.

Especially for deprived people we offer work and education. During this process those people get offered jobs, which are useful for society. Besides, we are opening a chance to our clients, to be a full member of the labour market and society in the future.

Thus, years of exclusion and humiliation can be overcome. At the end of the process, more than half of our clients have found work on the general labour market.

Customers

“Arbeit und Bildung e. V.” is promoted financially by the European Social Fund, different European re-employment programmes, the employment office (Bundesagentur für Arbeit) by single Hessian agencies, central Hessian working-groups of employment offices and local authorities (called ARGE), the KreisJobCenter, the Hessian regional social security office, the Hessian central office of welfare, the Hessian Ministry for the Environment, the local specialists for social things/ youth welfare service, the city of Marburg and the administrative districts of Marburg-Biedenkopf, Waldeck-Frankenberg and Schwalm-Eder as well as single municipalities from this region.

Target groups of our work

People put at a disadvantage with restricted efficiency, with a temporary handicap or people, who have problems finding work because of a lack of information are in the focus of our work. Besides we are a further education institute for different occupational groups.

Success: 70 offers – 1300 clients – Grade: “good”

For example, every year we reach 1300 employed and interested people in central and north Hessen by our 70 educational offers, job creation companies and services. 70 % of our further education-participants find work or an apprenticeship directly after they have finished their further education. Since years our annual anonymous survey of our employees, clients, trainees and further education-participants produces grade “good” (2,1).
